Competition

This competition aims to address ways of reintegrating an often-isolated aging population into active settings where they can once again thrive and lend their voices and expertise to the greater community. The competition requires proposals for innovative inter-generational housing models that are sited on or near a university campus and provide desirable lifestyles for people of all ages.

Therefore, I decided to focus on ways to reintegrate the elderly with the younger generation. This can be done by having programs that encourage learning and bonding through the arts and health. Arts regenerate the body and the mind by dancing, learning a new instrument, or painting. To add, there is a medical internship program in collaboration with the university to allow students to gain experience by taking care of the elderly.
